Men's Shorts in a weekend
Learn how to make a pair of men's chino style shorts in a weekend!! Using Thread Theory's Jedediah Shorts pattern you will learn how to make a slim, casual fit pair of shorts with a back yoke and stylish slash front pockets. These shorts are knee length with a rolled cuff. They will wear well in denim, twill, or linen with the extra durability of flat fell seams. The design includes top-stitched belt loops, flat fell inseams, a zipper fly, back patch pockets and large slash front pockets.
Materials: 2.5 yards of woven fabric: denim, twill, or linen. 1.5 yards light weight fusible interfacing, 7.25 yards of 1/2" bias tape, 6" metal zipper, one 3/8" button, coordinating polyester thread. Pattern included.
Skill Level: Advanced
Prerequisites: Sewing 101, Serger 101, or entire Sewing Skills series. Must be comfortable using a rotary cutter and have previously completed a multi-piece commercial pattern project.
Sessions: This class meets on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
