Pattern Alterations 4-week series- October 2019
Have you ever made a garment from a pattern and the finished fit was just not right? In this 4-week series, you'll learn how to make adjustments to your flat pattern to achieve a good fit. Skills covered: combining sizes, grading up or down, slash and spread, bust adjustments (small & full), dart adjustments, and length adjustments.
Materials: 2 yards of cotton muslin fabric, 2 yards of tracing paper, mechanical pencils, color pencils, clear matte scotch tape, and a french curve. Bring a sewing pattern that you want to work with.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Prerequisites: Sewing 101, Serger 101, or entire Sewing Skills series. Must be comfortable using a rotary cutter and have previously completed a multi-piece commercial pattern project.
Sessions: This class meets on Wednesday, October 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2019 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Handcraft Workshop provides sewing machines and general sewing and cutting tools. We will email you a supply list prior to the start of class. You are responsible for purchasing the fabric, thread and supplies for class. We do not provide or sell fabric, thread or notions. Please be sure to bring all of your materials and supplies to class.
